So I play a 4 string and really needed to replace the strings. While at the music store, I had the chance to meet a popular bassist who owns a Fedora bass. I went online to check out Fedora and purchased strings and I luv it'! , especially the heavy E.
Back to Fodera

On my second Fodera, a Monarch Elite with Dual Coils. Tried some different strings looking for a punchier sound. They didn't do it so I've come back to Fodera Nickel Round 45-105s. Clear mids and highs with a nice round bottom. Better than I remembered. And after some of the other nickel strings, nice and smooth to the touch.

I've been playing Fodera strings for more than 25 years and I simply refuse to play anything else. They provide the feel, tone, and balance that I look for in my strings.
Best Strings Ever!

Friends, after much time, effort, and money... I've finally found my strings: Fodera nickel wound, heavy gauge (50-110).
I love the round core, full nickel windings. These strings are so versatile... Great for any style of music with one turn of the tone knob! (I've got them on my American made 1964 Fender Jazz Bass Reissue) They've got the perfect amount of tension, output, durability, punch, and clarity. Chords, finger style, slap, tap, palm mute, pick playing... These strings can do it all. I'm sold!
Amazing tone always

Even after a lot of grooving, Fodera strings keep an amazing tone, I just love them!!
Smooth as Butter

Been playing a P-bass for about 50 years. Used all sorts and types of strings in that time, but these Foderas are a cut above the rest.
Clarity, tonality, and richness is what I hear when I play these strings. Bravo Fodera... don't change a thing.
Balanced in every way

I've been using the heavy nickels for a couple of years now. I change them every three months, which adds up to about 250 hours of use. I'm too lazy to keep them clean, so I'm very happy with this time. And no for the really important issues: sound and feel. I'm very happy with the sound. Breaking in takes about two hours. After that they feel smooth and the sound is just as I like it: good roundwound aggressiveness without 'hyped' highs, focused powerful mids and deep round lows. Just perfect for my kind of music, which is seventies British rock. The balance between the strings is perfect, both tension and volume.

I have tried several different string sets wondering if I've been missing something (is the grass really greener?) (nope). I like the consistency and feel. Like the sound. My band can tell when I have other strings on. They like the Foderas. Just reordered a year's supply Band happy. Me too : )

I've had several Foderas, and have always elected to with the nickel rounds. Great sound!
